Fibre Additives Fibre additives play a key part in the manufacture of All Weather Equestrian Surfaces with many variables to consider,most importantly they must contain 100% synthetic fibres. Non synthetics to avoid are Rayon,Wool, Cottons, mixed carpet fibres etc The correct fibres are the likes of Nylon,Polyester and Polypropylene. In simple terms an all weather surface is the result of creating a turf like feel that is consistent,exact fibre types and lengths are blended with high grade silica sand to replicate the similarities of turf whilst ensuring not to have a detrimental effect on the surfaces ability to drain, this is where the science has to play a part to ensure adequate moisture is retained during the summer months, with enough release during our rainy season. . Ascot have achieved this under our brand name Agility Fibre a blended composite that is both cost effective and guaranteed to perform time and time again.
